Life just kind of backed me into it.
The Long Goodbye Twice is about love, plain and simple. The kind of love that shows up every day. The kind that sticks around when things get hard. And the kind that doesn’t leave… even after someone’s gone.
I was blessed (and I do mean blessed) to share my life with two remarkable women. That’s not something most folks can say — and I don’t recommend trying to plan it that way.
I walked with both of them through the good days, the tough days, and eventually, the long goodbyes.
This isn’t a story about tragedy. It’s about commitment. It’s about family. It’s about doing the best you can for the people you love — even when you’re not sure what that looks like.
And it’s about carrying them with you… whether you’re ready to or not.

About Ralph Green
Ralph Green is a veteran, firefighter, and family man who learned most of what he knows the hard way — by living it.
He didn’t set out to be an author. He just ended up with a story that wouldn’t leave him alone.
Ralph spent years caring for two women he loved deeply, standing by them through everything life handed out. Somewhere along the way, he figured that story might be worth writing down — if for no other reason than to make sure it wasn’t forgotten.
He lives in Hagerman, New Mexico, still believes in showing up when it counts, and still thinks a good cup of coffee can solve more problems than people give it credit for.
